Honestly, Penelope never disappoints me. This series was fantastic I could not put these books down. She has a way of intertwining characters and plot like no other. I read ALOT....I do not say this freely.... this series, Buttons and Lace, and The Muse in Lingerie are the most seductive steamers I have ever read. I devoured them all this summer . Hands down she is my favorite author of the year!

Wow!!

What an amazing way for this series to end! There was one point where I wanted to throw my ereader across the room because of the snooty Ariel! I am so happy that I got the ending I hoped for! From the start to the amazing finish, this book is a page turner and must read! Penelope is an amazing author! I loved all of her books and would highly recommend her books to anyone!

Another Great Book!!!!

Adequate conclusion

I thought the Scotch King was a great story which of course made me want to read the Scotch Queen. I have to say I probably only read half of it, skipping past the sex scenes because they took up too much real estate and were rather pornographic. The 3rd book, also rather sexually graphic, brought all the conflicts to a peaceful conclusion and had the "and they lived happily ever after" ending that I love in a story. I mean who doesn't love a "love conquers all" story? I wasn't head over heels, but was a nice ending.

Very anticlimactic

Not nearly as good as the first two. I found my mind wandering as I was reading this one. At times it seemed as if someone else was writing. One example was when Crewe was thinking how beautiful her "small and perky" breasts were, in the previous books he thought repeatedly about how large they were in proportion to the rest of her body. Just little things but still makes me wonder how or why the creator of a book could make mistakes like that. A few typos in here too but unfortunately that seems to be fairly common in online contemporary romance books.

Scotch Royals lost steam in last book

I truly enjoyed the first two installments of the Scotch series; flawed characters, exciting plot twists and steamy intimate encounters. The last book though, seemed to just lose momentum and fall into a predictable formula type romance. The character traits that made Crew so compelling seemed to vanish in book three as he turned into a broken hearted, almost whipped version of his earlier self. Conflicts that had been building in suspense for the first two stories were either resolved quickly and too easily with none of the expected angst or not addressed at all. Although I loved the series as a whole, I feel that the third book was pushed out without time for the character and plot development that made the first two books so interesting.
